KQED is conducting a $135 million campaign for the purpose of completing its transformation from a television and radio organization to a digital media community-service organization. Campaign 21 has secured $68 million towards that goal and is now actively soliciting leadership, major and public gifts for the renovation of its headquarters at 2601 Mariposa, San Francisco.
The Development Associate, Campaign will report to the Director of Campaign 21 and work very closely with the Vice President for Development, Campaign 21 consultant, Campaign and Patron Events Director, members of the Leadership Giving and Campaign team including the Sr. Director of Leadership Giving, other members of the development team, KQED’s President, Board Members and non-Board campaign fundraising volunteers, to help implement this exciting transformational effort.
This is a full-time position, limited-term until July 31, 2021.This position is based in our San Francisco headquarters which will be relocating in July, 2019, to temporary offices at 50 Beale Street, San Francisco. Anticipated return to 2601 Mariposa is mid-year 2021.
The ideal candidate will have experience in non-profit fundraising support or a related field (marketing, event planning, and/or prospect research). The main responsibilities will include support for campaign event logistics, meeting support and preparation, research of Campaign prospects, support for the Campaign Director, and other duties to ensure the campaign meets its internal deadlines and financial goals.
Prospect Research (35%)
Cultivation events (35%): Support the Director of Campaign and Patron Events in planning and execution of Campaign cultivation events, in partnership with the Director of Campaign 21, Vice President for Development and Leadership Giving staff;
Campaign Director and meeting support (25%): Support Campaign Director by coordinating logistics of campaign meetings with prospects that may include KQED’s President, Vice President, Development staff and members of the Campaign Cabinet; manage follow-up items from meetings as they are determined.
