This is a paid internship, working 16 hours per week from Monday, July 6, 2026 - Friday, December 18, 2026. Current Salary is $19.61 per hour.
About KQED:
KQED is the NPR and PBS member station for Northern California, combining media, journalism, and technology for the common good. We provide trusted public radio, television, and independent reporting on the issues that matter most to the Bay Area, aspiring to be the region’s leading convener of civic dialogue. Our community of visionaries, storytellers, technologists, educators, and innovators shares a passion for public media and a belief that we are better together—striving each day to grow, improve, and stay accountable.
Position Summary:
KQED Creative is seeking a motivated and curious Project Management Systems Implementation Intern to help bring a newly defined project management system to life. Building on prior workflow audits and AI research, this role will focus on prototyping, testing, and implementing improved workflows that integrate with JIRA and AI-enabled tools.
Working closely with the Creative Director, Creative team, and IT partners, you’ll help translate strategy into practice—ensuring new systems are functional, scalable, and adopted across the organization. Your work will directly influence how KQED Creative collaborates, operates, and delivers content more efficiently.
KQED envisions a public media organization with a culture that centers on human dignity, equity, and belonging. This will enable us to better serve and reflect the Bay Area through diverse and inclusive storytelling.
We value the contributions of marginalized people in society — including Black, Indigenous, and all people of color, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ people — and we believe that these communities must be centered in the work we do, and we strongly encourage members of these communities to apply.
