Mid-Level Giving Coordinator

The Mid-Level Giving Coordinator is an integral member of the KQED Mid-Level team that raises contributions from individuals who donate between $1,000 and $4,999 annually. Under the direction and supervision of the Mid-Level Giving Manager, responsibilities include: aiding KQED’s individual giving efforts by managing the dedicated Mid-Level phone line and email account, assisting with gift processing, as well as assisting with donor inquiries, communications and events.

KQED provide citizens of Northern California with a community-supported alternative to commercial media.   We provide citizens with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions; convene community dialogue; bring the arts to everyone and engage audiences to share their stories. This role will work hybrid between working in KQED's newly renovated headquarters and working remotely. KQED requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The successful candidate will be required to join National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians (NABET) Local 51.

Salary Information: $32.00-$40.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide excellent customer service to KQED’s mid-level members by responding to inquiries and serving as a point of contact for non-portfolio mid-level members. 
  • Support the Mid-Level Giving Events and Systems Manager in the planning, production and execution of internal and external events.
  • Manage details and communication around donor challenge grants, assist with gift processing, acknowledgments and record retention.
  • Write and review donor-facing communications, ensuring their accuracy and consistency with KQED's style and messaging.
  • Assist with compiling and researching stories for donor interests, organizing donor feedback and donor mailings.
  • Create, organize, maintain and analyze reports and assist with strategizing about donor stewardship and cultivation efforts.
  • Perform administrative and general office duties such as ordering office supplies and  keeping an inventory of stationery and donor collateral.

Additional Duties:

  • Communicate with other departments as necessary on membership matters.
  • Take meeting notes as needed.
  • Other essential duties as required. 

Knowledge Required:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle situations with tact and diplomacy. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with ease and efficiency.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • High degree of proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and ROI Solutions or related CRM.
  • High level of attention to detail is required.  
  • Excellent spoken and written language skills. A writing sample is requested.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
