Pay Information: $75,510 - $90,000

Limited Term, Full Time - 3 Years (2029)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Integrated Digital Campaign Manager owns the full lifecycle of digital sponsorship campaigns across KQED's platforms; from trafficking and launch through pacing, optimization, and reporting. This role ensures the integrity and performance of all digital activations across KQED.org, podcasts, email newsletters, video on demand, OTT, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and mobile apps.
A growing strategic responsibility of this role involves developing social media sponsorship and monetization opportunities on Instagram and TikTok in partnership with the Marketing department. This requires designing sponsorship packages, building standardized workflows, establishing QA processes, and enabling sponsors to be meaningfully acknowledged within KQED's social presence.
The role also pilots new incremental digital revenue opportunities as KQED's digital strategies evolve. Success requires comfort with ambiguity, ability to test and iterate quickly, and willingness to build structures where none yet exist. This is a mid-level specialist position with significant independent ownership and cross-functional collaboration. The role works closely with the Activation Manager, Broadcast Specialist, and Marketing department.

KQED envisions a public media organization with a culture that centers on human dignity, equity, and belonging. This will enable us to better serve and reflect the Bay Area through diverse and inclusive storytelling.

We value the contributions of marginalized people in society — including Black, Indigenous, and all people of color,  people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ people — and we believe that these communities must be centered in the work we do, and we strongly encourage members of these communities to apply.

KQED Code of Ethics  https://www.kqed.org/about/code-ethics

The mission that drives us:

KQED provide citizens of Northern California with a community-supported alternative to commercial media.   We provide citizens with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions; convene community dialogue; bring the arts to everyone and engage audiences to share their stories. We help students and teachers thrive in 21st-century classrooms, and take people of all ages on journeys of exploration- exposing them to new people, places and ideas.

This role will work hybrid between working in KQED's newly renovated headquarters and working remotely.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Digital Campaign Trafficking  & Reporting
•Own end-to-end trafficking of all digital sponsorship campaigns across multiple channels: display, video, podcast/audio, email newsletter, social (Instagram and TikTok), mobile apps, and OTT/streaming on KQED-owned and operated platforms.
• Partner with the Activation Manager and Broadcast Activation Specialist to review client digital media orders, confirm campaign details and creatives meet specifications, and ensure accurate, on-time launch.
• Enter and manage campaign details in ad serving and trafficking platforms; maintain accurate records of specifications, creative assets, and delivery parameters.
• Conduct pre-launch quality assurance tests on all digital assets; identify and resolve technical issues before launch, escalating to management, product, and clients as appropriate.
• Monitor active campaign delivery against pacing targets and budgets; proactively adjust to ensure even delivery aligned with sponsor expectations.
• Analyze campaign performance using GA4, Google Ad Manager, Google Ads, Megaphone, Audioserve, Dovetail, native social platform analytics, and Domo; translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Produce mid-campaign performance summaries, proof-of-performance reports, and post-campaign recaps for clients and sales team, including social media engagement and sponsor visibility data.
• Identify under-delivery, recommend make-good solutions, and coordinate resolution with the Activation Manager and sales team.
• Act as the CS Ops team's primary digital liaison across Marketing, Product, Marketing Communications, Creative Production, and Events; support integrated campaigns spanning digital, broadcast, radio, social, and live events.
• Support the sales team with digital expertise during pre-sales: review inventory, advise on campaign feasibility, and contribute to client-facing materials including social media sponsorship opportunities.
• Continuously evaluate and refine reporting workflows for scalability; document processes so approaches can be replicated as the team grows.
Social Media Sponsorships and Monetization Operations
• Develop and operationalize sponsorship and monetization opportunities on KQED's Instagram and TikTok channels; work with Marketing to design sponsor integration formats, asset requirements, and posting templates that provide value while maintaining authentic brand voice.

• Serve as the primary liaison between Corporate Sponsorship and Marketing on social media monetization; facilitate communication on inventory, campaign feasibility, sponsor requirements, and post-campaign reporting.
• Track and report on sponsorship inventory, fulfillment, and pacing across all social channels; adjust posting schedules and content formats to meet sponsor commitments and maximize engagement.
New Digital Revenue Streams & Pilot Programs

• Approach new revenue pilots with a start-up orientation — test quickly, document what works, iterate, and communicate findings clearly to leadership without waiting for perfect information.

•Provide responsive, professional support to clients and Local Marketing Directors on digital asset questions, troubleshooting, and reporting inquiries.
• Communicate proactively on campaign status, missing materials, and performance highlights, including social media engagement updates, ensuring sponsor satisfaction and renewal-readiness.

• Learn back-up functions for both the Activation Manager and Broadcast Activation Specialist to ensure cross-hybrid support.
• Assist with onboarding and training team members or interns on digital platforms, social media sponsorship operations, and campaign workflows as directed.
• Perform other essential duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
•3–5 years of hands-on experience in digital advertising, ad operations, social media management, or campaign management; media, agency, or public broadcasting background preferred.
• Demonstrated experience trafficking and managing campaigns in Google Ad Manager, Google Ads, GA4, Megaphone, Audioserve, OTT, social (Instagram and TikTok), and/or video platforms.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent campaigns with precision, meet deadlines independently, and flag issues before they become problems.
• Comfort working in ambiguous or evolving environments; ability to test and iterate quickly where playbooks don't yet exist.
• Strong analytical instincts: ability to interpret campaign data, identify patterns, and translate findings into clear recommendations for non-technical colleagues and clients.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to sales teams and clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

Preferred
• Experience contributing to the launch or pilot of a new digital ad product, content format, revenue program, or social media monetization strategy — including helping define operational workflow, not just executing within one.
• Hands-on experience managing Instagram and/or TikTok accounts, including content scheduling, audience engagement, analytics, and platform algorithm best practices.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
• Experience working within an integrated media operations team spanning broadcast, digital, social, and live events.
• Affinity for public media and KQED's mission.
• College degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field.
