The KQED Food & Check, Please! Bay Area Digital Engagement Intern plays a key role in building and connecting with our audience through social media platforms, online community interaction, influencer outreach, event support, and more. The engagement intern is a core member of the engagement team, offering ideas and creativity to a small but nimble crew. The intern will help with the promotion and outreach of Check, Please! Bay Area and other food programming across both broadcast and digital properties and with pre- and post-production efforts, as needed. We encourage applicants to bring their unique passions and interests to the table and work with us to find an opportunity for growth that is tailored to their career goals.

One of our core values at KQED is that we are better together, and that we commit to learning, growth, and holding ourselves accountable. We value the contributions of marginalized people in society — including Black, Indigenous, and all people of color, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ people — and we believe that these communities must be centered in the work we do, and we strongly encourage members of these communities to apply.
