Development Analytics Intern

The Development Analytics Intern supports the Development Department to provide high-level analysis of donors and prospects from both within and outside of KQED.
The position reports to the Senior Development Operations Analyst and will work up to 16 hours per week from July through December 2025. The format will be a hybrid– working in KQED's state-of-the-art San Francisco headquarters an average of one day per week and remotely on the remaining days.

This role requires working in KQED's newly renovated headquarters and working in the field. KQED requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Responsibilities may include:
Data Analytics
- Utilizing a wide variety of tools, including the ROI database (KQED’s CRM), Google, LinkedIn, Wealth Engine and Wealth X to conduct thorough research of donors and prospects.
- Analyze fundraising data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for growth in fundraising and enhancing donor engagement.
- Prepare clear data visualizations and insights for Development staff and Executive Management to inform fundraising strategies.
- Create and refine research report templates and data visualizations.
- Work closely with the operations team to maintain data integrity and identify opportunities for optimization.
Prospect Research
- Analyze, interpret and evaluate personal, business and financial information for current and prospective donors to identify capacity, inclination and interests.
- Prepare clear and concise donor profiles and strategic briefings on donors, prospects and/or groups of prospects for Development staff and Executive Management in advance of meetings, calls and events in order to obtain optimal outcomes.

Position Qualifications
- Interest in nonprofit fundraising, data analysis and prospect research.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data from a wide variety of sources and present the resulting information in a clear, concise summary.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to understand individual needs and coordinate projects and activities.
- Comfortable working in databases and online platforms (LinkedIn, Google, etc.).
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
